Melanotan 2 (MT2) is a synthetic peptide that mimics a hormone your body naturally produces. It was originally developed by researchers looking into skin protection and tanning. It is now widely used to stimulate melanin production, giving the skin a darker tone without extended sun exposure.
| Active Ingredient | Melanotan II (MT-II) |
| Half-life | Approximately 1–2 hours |
| Form | Nasal spray |
| Dose (Men) | 500–1000 mcg per day (loading); 500 mcg per day (maintenance) |
| Dose (Women) | 250–500 mcg per day |
| Detection Time | Not established for sports testing |
| Anabolic Rating | N/A |
| Androgenic Rating | N/A |
MT2 binds to melanocortin receptors in the body, which triggers an increase in melanin — the pigment responsible for skin colour. More melanin means the skin darkens more easily and more quickly when exposed to UV light. It also interacts with receptors linked to appetite and sexual arousal.
Most users notice skin darkening within one to two weeks of consistent use, especially when combined with some sun or UV lamp exposure. You may also experience a reduced appetite and increased libido as common side effects of the peptide. Results vary depending on your natural skin tone and how much UV exposure you get.
A typical loading phase lasts two to four weeks, after which many users drop to a lower maintenance dose to keep their tan. There is no PCT required as MT2 does not affect hormonal output in the way anabolic steroids do. Once your desired skin tone is reached, dosing frequency can be reduced significantly.
Keep at room temperature (15–25°C), away from light and moisture. Leave in the original packaging.
